I can’t say enough great things about this property and host! I rented the castle for the week and it included the catering and daily excursions. The food we ate was amazing! Every morning we were served a full breakfast that satisfied us before heading out for our sometimes long days. The dinners were equally satisfying and tasty! The chef went out of her way to make sure we were happy. The excursions were well thought out and we were able to see some great sites during our stay. Mary the tour guide was such a pleasure to spend our days with! The property itself was beautiful and had everything we needed. The owner Zane went out of his way to ensure we were happy and well taken care of. He even helped us get an emergency dental appointment AND took one of my friends to the hospital an hour away late at night. Don’t hesitate to book this property, you won’t regret it and you will go home with memories that will last a lifetime!
Our family group of 11 rented Lisheen Castle in Tipperary for a week in May. The entire experience was incredible. It was even more beautiful than the website pictures. (Whew, I always worry about that.) The scenery is gorgeous! The grounds were perfectly manicured. Zane is a very gracious host. In fact, the entire staff was efficient, friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The daily sightseeing trips were well chosen and very interesting. Even the guides were top notch and unforgettable. And the meals, OMG the meals were beyond anything I’ve ever experienced on a trip. There is nothing I would change. It was an amazing week with wonderful memories!!!
Our family travels together every year around this time. This visit was our first time to Ireland and Lisheen did not disappoint. Everything about this trip was so special! Zane and staff were beyond friendly and accommodating. The condition of the castle was top notch. Clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated, very comfortable mattress and bedding! Our daily excursions were loads of fun and well thought out/planned. I did stay back one day to fully enjoy the castle and all the amenities and I felt like a princess. And for the main event… the FOOD!!!! Every single breakfast and dinner was an absolute 10/10 experience. We all felt extremely spoiled! I cannot recommend a stay here enough! It’s been about a month since our visit and I am ready to go back!

We had a group of 11, made up of family and friends. It was our first time to Ireland and traveling as a group. We stayed at Lisheen Castle in September of 2024 and opted for the full package, meals and tours. It was the perfect choice for our group. We absolutely loved the castle and the grounds and having our own private chef and tour guide was the icing on the cake. The meals were fabulous and the guided tours were fun, informational and provided a good taste Ireland. The entire staff was top notch taking care of every need and making sure our stay was comfortable.
Our group was there March 2025. The whole castle was ours for one week. The castle and the grounds were absolutely perfect and I cannot say enough about the staff and meals they prepared for us. The tours each day were just what we wanted, as each day was catered to our wants and they were so accommodating to our needs. Our stay was 5++ stars!!!!

Perfect for a wedding week
This was perfect for a destination wedding. We spent a couple days at the castle relaxing and prepping a little for the wedding. After the wedding day we had several days to explore a number of places. Zane was wonderful in helping arrange a catered meal for the 12 of us in the formal dining room one night. The photos of the wedding of course are stunning with the house/castle and gardens as the backdrop.

What a fabulous vacation the Lisheen Castle offers. We immediately felt comfortable in our home away from home. The tranquility of the setting immediately takes you in and makes you feel like you are truly a part of the surroundings. We received excellent service throughout our stay. The food was of the highest quality. Superb choices were offered for all of our meals both breakfast and dinner. The day tours were very organized and well planned. We were able to make adjustments according to our own personal wishes when the need arouse. The flexibility of the driver and tour guide was greatly appreciated. We had evening entertainment in the castle after dinner several nights. The head cook even gave us hands on tips on how she made some of her signature meals. The sit down morning breakfast was such a delicious and fun way to start our day. The availability of a washer and dryer made for light packing. This was one of the most enjoyable travel experiences we ever had and we look forward to returning to the LISHEEN Castle.

Beautiful castle in an amazing setting. The scenery is gorgeous! The grounds were perfectly manicured. The castle is beautiful on the inside as well. The restoration is unbelievable considering it was once in rubble. The rooms are plentiful, all with their own titles and most their bathrooms as well. The decor is historic and beautiful but comfortable at the same time. Equipped with modern conveniences such as washer/dryer, restaurant style kitchen and wifi throughout. Zane is a very gracious host, he even took us on the roof. Shhhh:) He was also extremely helpful in guiding us to local restaurants and attractions. I’m so glad we didn’t choose the B&B hop thing. This was truly a once in a lifetime experience for me and my family!

Dream vacation
An amazing place to vacation, we had a family group of 12 ages from 12 to 65. Zane was on site to greet us when we arrived, gave us a quick tour and some suggestions of some local places to visit. All of us were in awe of the castle and the property that it sits on. It was just beautiful and comfortable. Zane was just a phone call away for anything that we may have needed. Just think about it, a vacation in a castle, in Ireland, don’t get any better than that!
